Description :
The Group Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the management of the ordering process and the stock level as per the company’s policies and under the supervision of the Group Imports Manager.
Responsibilities
Conduct re-ordering of present ranges based on sales, inventory, seasonality, lead time, restrictions, container capacity, expiration period, out of stock, etc.
Manage ordering of new ranges based on price, minimum quantity, stores criteria, promotion, etc.
Calculate the volume of the orders
Determine the method of shipping based on category (chilled/frozen/dry food, etc.)
Match the pro forma invoice against the issued order; then against commercial invoice
Maintain a certain stock level and age at the stores and warehouse
Introduce the purchase order to the system
Arrange database of suppliers comprising full details and status
Update vendor information on the system (payment mode, Inco terms, contact persons, etc.)
Plan forecasts for orders
Establish performance metrics for suppliers and ensure compliance
Provide analytical or research support on a specific project basis
Pressure the supplier to meet the delivery date deadline
Control the imported range supply chain at all countries
