Role Summary
The Produce Category Manager is responsible for the supplier/retailer relation, in addition to managing the category as a strategic business unit, and producing enhanced business results by focusing on delivering consumer value and efficient consumer response.
Responsibilities
Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximize profits
Meet budgeted sales targets through improving promotions, products, sourcing and buying practices
Meet and negotiate with suppliers the terms of contracts, and maintain a mutual benefit business
Ensure suppliers’ deliveries, stock levels, stock control and proper ordering
Maintain a good relationship with suppliers and sourcing new ones for future products
Develop strategies such as space allocation, new product introduction, promotions, pricing and displays
Communicate with other business functions such as Operations, Logistics, Finance and Marketing
Ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures, in addition to maintain company standards
Prepare the flyer’s promotional list
