The Cost & Contract Manger is responsible for the cost, relationship and contracts between the company and suppliers / vendors such as direct contractors and sub-contractors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Able to handle the cost management and maintian the control system or expedition.
o Responsible for the preparation of RFB and tender documents.
o Maintin up-to-date construction rates in the regions.
o Understand and apply the reuqirements of FIDIC contract wherever it has to be applied or implimented.
o Directs the preparation of contracts and subcontract for clients and subcontractor respectively.
o Responbile to establish the standard forms.
o Obtains contract approvals from Legal and Insurance to ensure compliance with compnay policies and procedures and directives from authorities.
o Arranges meetings and assists in the negotiation of contracts/subcontracts with client subcontractor representatives.
o Coordinates revisions of contract / subcontracts drafts to reflect agreemetns reached during the course of negotiations.
o Maintains records of contract/subcontracts negotiations leading to final and complete contractual agreement with clients.
o Prepares requests for and obtains necessary approval for deviations from established company policies and objectives.
o Writes the final contract/subcontracts for signature and obtains timely execution by the contracting parties. Reviews the initial accounting release and verifies contract interpretation.
o Advises and coordinates with contracts/subcontracts administration Personnel to provide guidance for compliance with implementation of contract terms and conditions.The professional Sales Unit Manager will be responsible for the monthly achievement of the sales objectives and targets of the assigned Sales Unit. Moreover, he will implement the marketing and promotional activities of each product of the company.
o Research vendor’s / supplier’s capabilities, identify a pool of candidate vendors / suppliers for project consideration.
o Assist in the negotiation of contracts with an optimum mix of price and quality
o Assess the quotations submitted and selecting the bidders with which the commercial/financial negotiations may be conducted
o Set targets as to the result to be achieved in price negotiations
o Conduct the financial and contract negotiations at the appropriate management level
o Identify and analyse economic developments in the market
o Manages the competitive bidding and selection process
o Negotiate contract terms, pricing and payment schedule, ensuring that the agreements with the vendors / suppliers are commercially advantageous
o Intervenes, analyzes, manages and resolves business conflicts between the company and the vendors / suppliers
